Engaging with our communities

Our operational, community first responder and foundation trust teams regularly host and attend events across the South Central region.

Such events provide us with a great opportunity for us to hear from our public, our patients and the communities we serve, and to recruit foundation trust (FT) public members.

Ambulance staff are on hand at many of these events to showcase basic life support skills such as CPR, how to recognise an unconscious person, managing blood loss, the recovery position and operating a life-saving defibrillator.

We also regularly host FT roadshow events in shopping centres, where we recruit new FT public members and offer free blood pressure tests.

If you represent a stakeholder organisation or community group and would like a visit from us please contact our Membership Office on 01869 365126 or email Getinvolved@scas.nhs.uk.

Young people's involvement - find out more on our Secondary Schools and Colleges section.

For more information please see our Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
