Your local ambulance service invites you to nominate your NHS Hero

Your local ambulance service is inviting you to nominate your local NHS Hero simply by visiting www.nhsheroes.com  and filling in a simple form on the web site's home page.

You can nominate one of our front line ambulance crew members such as an Emergency Care Assistant, Technician, Ambulance Nurse, Paramedic, or Emergency Care Practitioner who may have attended to you, a friend, or family member suffering illness or injury.

You can nominate one of our 1500 volunteers Community First Responders who may have provided early or vital intervention whilst an ambulance resource was en route to you, a family member, or friend.

You can nominate one of our Patient Transport Service personnel or a volunteer car driver who may have taken you, a friend, or family member to and from regular out-patient appointments and gone that extra mile to help!

You can nominate one of our Emergency Operations Centre (call centre staff) - an emergency call taker who may have offered you, a friend, or family member reassurance when you called 999 and whilst an ambulance resource was en route to the scene, or who has helped to deliver a baby over the telephone; or one of our Clinical Support Desk staff for helping you a family member or friend to get the right treatment.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) serves a resident population in excess of 4 million people across the four counties of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hampshire. Help us to help those who have helped to help you, a family member, or friend to get the recognition they deserve and nominate your local NHS Hero now!

Go to www.nhsheroes.com now and fill out the simple form on the home page. Nominations can be made until September 2012.
