Non-Executive Board Directors
South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust's Board comprises executive directors (who are responsible for the day to day running of the organisation) and non-executive directors (lay members drawn from the public for their skills and experience).
Our Board meets regularly in public and is responsible for determining the overall strategy of the Trust, for overseeing the performance of the organisation and for ensuring that we meet our statutory duties.
Our Board meets in public on a two monthly basis - members of the public, stakeholders and staff are invited to attend those Board meetings designated as 'public'.
All non-executive director appointments are made on merit and any political activity plays no part in the selection process. The original Nolan recommendations require the Trust to make any appointee's political activity (if any is declared) public.
